HUMAN RIGHTS comittee

HRH Princess Sarah at Bukit Shahbandar. I didn’t know of this event after reading the papers this morning. Otherwise this would have been a good coverage. Anyway, HRH Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah participated in the Bukit Shahbandar Challenge in the Open Category D and she finished third in 42 minutes.

There were around 317 contestants that took place and the guest of honour was the Minister of Industry and Primary Resources, Pehin Yahya, who presented the prizes for all the categories. The event was organised by Persatuan Kilang-Kilang Papan Brunei and the Forestry Department.

A plus point for one of our national runner, Sefli Anak Ahar, was that he broke his own personal record by completing the 7km challenge in 45 minutes. His previous record was 47 minutes. As you may have heard, Sefli is one of the runners for Standard Chartered “Greatest Race on Earth”. His final leg will be in Hong Kong next month. Good luck to you, dude..

FIFA 2009 vs PES 2009. Before this wasn’t a great debate, back in the old PS2 days. Now it’s a different story.. FIFA 2009 has got what it takes to battle PES 2009 to the end. Why? Better graphics and gameplay (on par or better) after I’ve played a few games. I was never a big fan of FIFA 2009 and probably the majority of Bruneians are familiar with PES or Winning Eleven titles from the PS2 and PS3 users.

PES 2009 is still popular but FIFA has better gameplay

FIFA lovers will have a better argument that FIFA has better gameplay and realism as compared to PES 2009 and even critics of video gamers do share the same opinion. But because the popularity of PES users are high in Brunei, it does make sense that holding a competition for PES is a safe bet. However, in the near future, FIFA competition might just be included in the competition if demand is good.

So to FIFA lovers out there, don’t be disappointed. If there’s enough demand of competition, there’s a possibility for it to be included in the next BCG.

Rano says it’s back to school day today and yet my family is not back yet. They will be back this week But home has been pretty quiet for sometime already. I miss the noises of my siblings but I hope they are all in good health back in the UK. Maybe this year, I will try and plan to go to the UK but then again, I might be there in March for the Manchester vs Liverpool match *InsyaAllah* It’s not a done deal yet..

This week I will be busy preparing for the upcoming Brunei Cyber Games III and there have been lots of inquiring regarding PC Games. I know this may be last minute but there just might be a possibility of the competition but it’s still a 20/80 percent possibility. I just need to discuss with an interested party who might be able to assist us in this matter. Like I said before, the draw back is the rental of the PCs but I will update you guys on this matter by tonite or tomorrow.

Oh yeah, I suggest to my friends (on my MSN contact list) to change their passwords. Well, not all of you but apparently some of you have virus infected on ur MSN. So I keep getting all this spams and links even when you guys are offline. So the trick is to change your password but do tell me if my MSN does that to you guys.. I do wonder if some of you still chat on mIRC and ICQ *lol*
